Welcome to Siam Care Foundation

 Who We Are

Siam-Care is a Christian non-profit organization dedicated to the support of vulnerable poor children and families suffering from HIV/AIDS in Thailand.

As an organization, Siam-Care functions as an essential physical, educational, spiritual, and financial aid to hundreds of deprived families and children. It offers empowerment to individuals and communities, hoping to inspire an internal growth of care for one another, therefore lessening dependency on outsiders. Siam-Care has built long-term, dedicated relationships over its many years of service with families to successfully enrich the lives it works in.

OUR MISSION

Taking a biblical approach to caring for and supporting disadvantaged and HIV-affected families, individuals, and communities to improve their quality of life.

OUR VISION

To witness children, families, communities and PLWH live as self-reliant individuals in an accepting, risk-free environment.

OUR CORE VALUES

• Siam-Care is a biblically based Christian organization.
• Siam-Care believes good relationships to be essential and therefore works as a family.
• Siam-Care reaches out to underprivileged families, those living with HIV/AIDS, and    people affected by the Tsunami to improve their quality of life.
• Siam-Care values teamwork and continued education. Everyone is provided with opportunities to use and develop their skills.

History

Siam-Care emerged through a series of alarming reports from the Thai government circa 1990. A drastic increase in HIV/AIDS swarmed Thailand - affecting its children, women, and families en masse. Reasons for the disease’s continued spread have shifted over the years, and although we focus on the poor and uneducated, every social class is at risk.

Bangkok has long lured desperate migrant workers from Thailand’s northeastern countryside. The lack of work available forces men to leave behind families and the simple, close-knit communities they know and understand. It doesn’t take long for the fast-paced, lonely, and aggressive city life to overwhelm the majority of workers. Life in the overcrowded slums often leads to dangerous behavior that often harms entire families.

Siam-Care established its base in Bangkok during 1991, and has since expanded its locations and outreach to those living with HIV/AIDS and poverty stricken families.
